Rammstein singer Till Lindemann is performing in Leipzig today (November 8th). It is the opening concert of his solo tour, which will take him throughout Europe in the coming weeks. At least in Germany, the artist will probably have to continue to expect protests. In Leipzig, around 300 people reportedly gathered at the Quarterback Immobilien Arena in the evening to protest against the show.
The demonstrators are said to have given speeches on site to vent their anger about the concert that was taking place. Signs and posters read: “Systematic protection of perpetrators of sexual violence”, “No stage for Till Lindemann” and “Solidarity with all those affected by sexual violence and abuse of power”. The police secured the meeting. Visitors who have tickets for the Rammstein singer’s show were apparently not disturbed by the demonstration and entry went ahead as planned.

Two of those affected are said to have filed a complaint. Other fans are said to have maliciously stood in front of the demonstrators and shown the middle finger. However, the officers on duty ensured that the groups remained separated from each other and that there were no riots.
Legally, Till Lindemann no longer has anything to fear, at least at the moment – the investigation against him was closed because there was simply a lack of evidence.
