The most interesting game of the day
Wednesday night’s most interesting NHL game for Finns is Washington-Florida.
There is no blue-and-white color in Washington, but Florida is strong with Finnish players. Among Florida’s Finns, the captain of the team has performed somewhat at their own level so far Alexander Barkovwho has played at a point per game pace (3+7=10), Anton Lundell (1+3) and a summer acquisition who took on a big role (the third most defenders who got playing time). Niko Mikkola.
The team’s fourth Finn Eetu Luostarinen the season so far has been mysteriously weak. At the end of last season, Luostarinen, who became one of his team’s key forwards, has so far managed only one assist.
However, Luostaris has been blessed with the sixth most playing time among the team’s forwards. Even a possibly more defensive role than before does not explain the slowness of the early season, because Luostarinen is also right behind Florida in the +/- statistic with a reading of -2.
Maybe finding the mood to play after last spring’s leg injury just takes time?
The monastery has a big one upswing reserve for Florida, because last season the powers of 17+26=43 were born.
Based on the last results, the moods of the teams are quite similar. Washington has won four of its five previous matches at the expense of easy opponents, and Florida’s corresponding balance is three out of five. Even robbing one point from Boston can be considered some kind of performance.
In terms of point totals for the entire season, Washington and Florida look pretty evenly matched at the moment. Despite a miserable start to the season, Washington currently has five wins from ten games. Florida’s balance is 6/11. In the Eastern Conference table, Florida is eighth and Washington is eleventh.
Even when measured by expected goals, the teams look surprisingly equally strong. In both cases, the ratio of expected goals is barely on the plus side, both in all game situations and when playing on full pitches.
Washington has slightly improved its play since the beginning of the season, but it may be a momentary setback to the beginning of the season.
In terms of formations, both teams have shortcomings. Among the attackers, Washington is missing someone who put his playing career on hold Nicklas Backström, Nic Dowd, Yevgeny Kuznetsov and a long-term patient Max Pacioretty. They are on the sidelines from the defense Trevor Van Riemsdyk and Joel Edmundson.
Absentees in Florida are mainly long-term absentees By Aaron Ekblad, Brandon Montour and Jonah Gadjovich just approaching game fitness for this season. Also Sam Bennett has been able to play only one match this season so far.
Due to the stress situation or the game schedule, there are no special factors affecting the balance of power for either team in this match.
Regarding the mutual meetings, it is worth noting that Florida has won the six previous matches between the teams.
Washington-Florida starts at 2:30.
The best betting tip of the day
Even though Washington has improved its scoring line in the beginning of the season, the bets here are Florida, despite its defensive shortcomings.
Personally, I don’t really give weight to Washington’s tight wins over Columbus and San Jose. In terms of play, Florida seems like a more efficient team at the moment.
Florida’s actual playing time coefficient of 2.04 does not represent the top of the market, but is still quite close to playable at an estimated 48%.
Another possible NHL search is more than 6.5 goals in regular time for the match Toronto–Ottawa with a coefficient of 1.84. This starts at 2:00.
You can make a surprise search for football games for the Champions League match FC Köbenhavn–Manchester United.
All is not well at Manchester United based on the really poor performances of late. Already a couple of weeks ago at Old Trafford, FCK had to grab a well-deserved point from United. Only by Jordan Larsson an unsuccessful penalty kick in overtime prevented the creation of a surprise at that time.
In terms of play, FCK was almost equal to Manchester United in that match (expected goals in the match 1.3–1.1). Now at home, the balance of power can be expected to turn more in the direction of the Danes.
If FCK’s number one striker (playing condition still uncertain at the time of writing the tip) Mohamed Elyounoussi is in the lineup today, so 1.77 of FC Köbenhavn +0.75 is the overcoefficient.
FC Copenhagen–Manchester United starts at 22:00.
Games of the day:
FC Copenhagen+0.75–Manchester United 1 (odds 1.77)
Toronto–Ottawa over 6.5 goals (odds 1.84)
