A study shows that no other song lyrics are translated into other languages as often as yours.
A newly published study reveals which texts are translated most frequently by which artists. This included 627,000 translations of 277,000 songs by more than 11,700 musicians. Taylor Swift takes first place in the ranking.
This was carried out Study by “WordFinderX”. In this context, the number of languages a song was translated into and how often it was translated was assessed. Only direct translations of the original into another language count. So if an English song is first translated into German and then translated again from German into French, the second translation no longer counts towards the study. Artists with non-English language music were ranked individually.
Taylor Swift fans managed to secure her a new first place. In total, they translated 365 of their tracks into 57 languages, bringing their total to over 5,000 translations.
She is followed by BTS in second place. Lana Del Rey and the Beatles took third and fourth place. Celine Dion, Julio Inglesias, Shakira and One Direction also made the list.
Among the non-English speaking artists, BTS took first place and Rammstein took second place. They are followed by Ana German and Laura Pausini. Michel Teló’s 2011 hit “Ai Se Eu Te Pego” landed in first place among the most translated songs.
