The events that shook the whole nation are reviewed in several time planes Jari Isometsän, Mika Myllylän, Virpi Kuitunen and through others. The main focus is still specifically on the painful past of 2001 and how the news of testing plasma expanders for the first time at the World Championships in Lahti can surprise even the leadership of the Finnish team.
Although more than two decades have passed since the scandal, many still have an opinion about what happened – and the fact that they have now been made into a series. People have shared their views on social media not only this fall, but also earlier this year, when the series was widely reported.

Iltalehti public on Facebook pages many people wondered in March why the whole series was made at all.
– Why was this even made into a TV series? a Slender sprig asked.
