Domestic drama series partly based on real events Lahti 2001 tells about the biggest doping scandal in Finnish sports history.

The events that shook the whole nation are reviewed in several time planes Jari Isometsän, Mika Myllylän, Virpi Kuitunen and through others. The main focus is still specifically on the painful past of 2001 and how the news of testing plasma expanders for the first time at the World Championships in Lahti can surprise even the leadership of the Finnish team.

– Why was this even made into a TV series? a Slender sprig asked.
