FC Bayern also loses against Fenerbahce

Bayern Munich’s basketball players suffered their first home defeat in the EuroLeague.

A week after the lesson at FC Barcelona (59:98), head coach Pablo Laso’s team showed a significant improvement, especially defensively, in the 67:76 (38:41) against Fenerbahce, but could not prevent the third defeat in the fifth game.

After a 61:68 deficit just under three minutes before the end, Bayern showed morale and could hope for a turnaround after Andreas Obst made it 66:68 – but his world champion colleague Isaac Bonga missed the throw to equalize.

Even after that, the players of the 13-time Turkish champions had better nerves.

As Bayern’s best thrower, Sylvain Francisco didn’t get more than eleven points, while Fener’s Scottie Wilbekin got 17 points.
