The men’s fashion specialist Eckerle is closing one of its two branches in Augsburg.
The location on Annastrasse will close at the end of next year, a company spokesman confirmed when asked by FashionUnited. The industry magazine Textilwirtschaft had previously reported on the branch closure.
In recent years, the two Eckerle branches in Augsburg city center have developed very differently, with the store on Annastrasse taking on an “outlet character”. The decision has now been made not to extend the rental agreement, which expires at the end of 2024. to concentrate on the successful business at Rathausplatz.
It was already announced in July that the men’s fashion specialist, which belongs to the Hirmer Group, would say goodbye to Frankfurt am Main. The Zeil location will close at the end of February 2024.
Eckerle also has locations in Munich, Hanover, Münster, Nuremberg, Stuttgart, Wiesbaden and will soon have a branch in Augsburg.
