A man died on Thursday evening in the Uniekaas cheese factory on Belgiëstraat in Kaatsheuvel. The police received a report about an injured man around ten past eight, but he died on the spot shortly afterwards.
What exactly happened is still under investigation. It is still unclear whether it was an accident. The area surrounding the company has been cordoned off. The cheese factory staff were accommodated in the canteen. Several ambulances, fire brigade and police responded to the report.
Cheese is produced, ripened, cut, packaged and distributed in the Uniekaas factory, as can be read on the company’s website.
