After the recent pro-Palestinian riots in Berlin-Neukölln, the police presented an initial assessment on Thursday. According to this, there were a total of 194 restrictions on freedom over the course of numerous incidents, and 274 administrative offenses and criminal complaints were also written.
Proceedings were initiated, for example, for resistance and physical attacks on law enforcement officers, attempted prisoner release, serious breach of the peace, incitement, bodily harm, insults, threats, and violations of the narcotics or explosives law.
According to the information, 65 police officers were injured and one had to quit his job. Suspects and people who attacked emergency services were also injured, it said.
According to the police, smaller groups were predominantly responsible for criminal and violent crimes. The majority of people on the street were residents, local guests and a large number of onlookers.
