Shakhtar Donetsk CEO Sergei Palkin made a statement about Tete, who was transferred to Galatasaray and for which they filed a lawsuit due to his transfer. Palkin’s words are as follows:
“THEY PROVIDED ILLEGAL BENEFITS”
Tete left us and went to Lyon based on additional rule 7 published by FIFA. He was then loaned to Leicester for 1 million euros. They violated additional rule 7. Because it is not possible for a player who belongs to us to transfer to another club. He has a contract with Shakhtar Donetsk. An illegal benefit was obtained at the expense of our club.
“WE COMPLAINED TO FIFA”
We have now filed a complaint with FIFA to get compensation. Tete was transferred to Galatasaray after Leicester. We are suing Tete, but Galatasaray also shares that responsibility. According to Additional rule 7, a player must send a request letter stating ‘I would like to use Appendix 7 to suspend my contract’ by 1 July.
