Ignacio Beamud will be the new president and CEO of Mazda Automobiles Spainsucceeding José María Terolwho will retire at the end of the year after two decades at the head of the Spanish subsidiary.
The vice president of sales and customer service at Mazda Motor Europe, Wojciech Halarewiczdeclared when the news was announced that: “José María Terol has been fundamental to Mazda’s success over the last 20 years. Under his leadership, Spain has become a very profitable market for Mazda, with a solid dealer network. I am very grateful to José María for his constant commitment to our company and I wish him the best in his retirement.”

Spain is currently Mazda’s third European market. Between January and August 2023, Mazda sales in Spain grew by 35% year-on-year. In that period, the brand achieved a total market share of 1.6% and a share of 2.6% in the private channel.
