National player Antonio Rüdiger and 2014 world champion Toni Kroos were in the Royal team’s starting line-up on Sunday. After Ander Barrenetxea’s early lead (5′), Federico Valverde equalized (46′), and former Bundesliga professional Joselu scored the winner (60′).
Bundesliga club Union Berlin will make its Champions League debut on Wednesday (6:45 p.m./DAZN) at the Santiago Bernabeu in Madrid.
