The president of the Italian Referees Association Alfredo Trentalange for an afternoon put on the uniform again and returned to referee. The occasion was the event dedicated to remembering the Italian ambassador to Congo, Luca Attanasio, who tragically died a year ago. It was a 7-a-side football match, starring the national singers teams, Mama Sofia and Play2Give. Football challenge that took place at the San Giorgio oratory in Limbiate, one of the landmarks of Attanasio’s life.

The three teams faced each other with a specific objective: to promote the birth of the “Mama Sofia” Foundation created to pursue the ambassador’s ideas for a better world and chaired by Zakia Seddiki Attanasio, his wife. In the end the national singers won thanks to the goal difference. The Hague, with its president in the lead, was pleased to accompany this event which has its roots in delicate topics of a social nature. Trentalange directed the first of three games. Then, two young referees took the field: Francesco Santochirico and Veronica Adenti.
