Eric Bailly has left Manchester United for good after seven years. The 29-year-old central defender is moving to the Turkish Süper Lig with immediate effect, where the transfer window is open until September 15. Besiktas initially signed the Ivorian for a year.
Man United signed Bailly from Villarreal in 2016 for 38 million euros, since then the right-footed player has made 113 appearances and two goals for the “Red Devils”. The professional spent 2022/23 on loan at Olympique Marseille in Ligue 1. At the beginning of 2018, Bailly achieved the highest market value of his career at EUR 35 million – with an estimate of EUR 5 million he is now far from it. Before the Bailly transfer, Besiktas had spent 17 million euros on newcomers, including former Bremen player Milot Rashica.
