Farewell after 12 years
Dean Henderson is leaving Manchester United after 12 years. The 26-year-old goalkeeper, who has been on six loan spells since then, joined Crystal Palace a day before Deadline Day. The Englishman signed a five-year contract with the Eagles and has become by far the most expensive keeper in the club’s history.
According to consistent reports, Henderson costs £15m, which can be matched by a further £5m in bonuses. Converted, that makes 17.5 million euros plus 5.8 in possible additional payments. Previously, the South Londoner was the most expensive goalkeeper in 2015/16 with a €4.9m move. Man United, who spent €52.5m on the new number one this summer, meanwhile, have never made so much from a goalkeeper sale.

“I am absolutely thrilled and very happy to be here. I can’t wait to get started. This club has great fans and a lot of top players who are hungry for success. Something is being built here and I want to be a part of it,” said Henderson, who has played 29 times between the posts for the Red Devils.
