Jack Sonni, known from the band Dire Straits, has died.

Jack Sonni, Dire Straits’ second guitarist, has died. Several media reported on the matter.
Sonni played guitar on the album released in 1985 Brothers in Arms – on a hit record and went on tour with the band after that. He also played at the Live aid mega-concert in London in 1985.
Dire Straits’ David and to Mark Knopfleer he had already met in New York in the 70s.
Sonni also worked with other musicians. He temporarily retired from the musician’s work in 1988 after having twin girls. In recent years, he has been seen again at concerts.
Sonni’s cause of death has not been announced. He was 68 years old when he died.
