René van der Gijp is kidding, jokes about disability Lucille Werner

René van der Gijp hates the fact that Lucille Werner has such a hard time with jokes about her disability. He therefore made one himself yesterday in Today Inside. “Hahahahahaha.”

Lingo Member of Parliament Lucille Werner says goodbye to politics and for that reason she sat at the table with Humberto Tan last week. There she was hurt live by an item from Jaïr Ferwerda, in which he warned CDA colleague Hugo de Jonge for a passing car. He then: “Thank you, otherwise I would have ended up here with a disability.”

‘Should be possible’

Lucille, who is limping a bit, is completely upset about this, but the men of Today Inside think that is very touchy. “I think it should be possible. I don’t think you should spare people with disabilities in terms of hard jokes. That should just be possible. I thought this was a nice joke,” said Johan Derksen in the broadcast From yesterday.

Table guest Özcan Akyol: “Well, if you really want to be treated equally, then you have to accept those jokes, don’t you? Instead of saying: ‘I have an exceptional position, you can’t make fun of me.’”

Cracked down

The gentlemen then start beating Lucille. “What has that Lucille Werner actually done in politics?” said Özcan.

Johan: “Absolutely nothing!”

Özcan: “She did present Lingo well. That woman sat there and…”

Then René makes a joke about her disability: “She hasn’t made any great strides. Hahahahahaha! Hahahahahahahahahaha! Hahahahahahahaha!”

Wilfred Genee: “That didn’t go well, would you also like to say?”

Overrated

Özcan distances himself from this joke. “I am not laughing! For the archives…”

Wilfred: “It is very short what she has done there.”

Johan: “He has so overestimated himself!”

Özcan: “He just can’t.”

Johan: “If you can present Lingo… Anyone who can write their name can! Then they immediately think that they can play a role in Dutch politics! Look, if you want to present Lingo, then you don’t belong in politics. Then you won’t be taken seriously anywhere, will you?”

Restriction joke

By the way, Hugo doesn’t want to say sorry for the joke about Lucille. Jaïr in his latest item: “That disability joke went a bit wrong, didn’t it?”

Hugo: “Yeah, dude, you know. Just a joke. Don’t make more than that. If you have to regret jokes, then it all becomes a very complicated game. Just an innocent joke and we go back to work.”

Saskia Belleman at the table with Humberto: “That you’re not just able to immediately say: ‘It was just a very unfortunate joke, I shouldn’t have done that.'”

And Gijs Rademakers: “Then it’s over. So it’s still not over. Yes, it’s incredible.”
