Here you can see the performance of the song “Cornelia Street”, which concertgoers had always wanted to see live.
On August 26, Taylor Swift’s Eras tour continued in Mexico City. The American singer surprised her fans live with “Cornelia Street”, a song from her 2019 album LOVER.
Screams and umpteen lights accompanied the guitar performance of the pop star. Her fans have wanted the song since the beginning of the tour. “You guys have been more than patient and supportive and it has taken us so long to get here and play for you guys. So I wanted to play a song tonight that a lot of the fans have been asking for all tour,” Swift announced of the song, which she first performed on the surprise part of the show. “Cornelia Street” was followed by another audience favorite “You’re On Your Own, Kid” from her current album MIDNIGHTS.
At her previous US show at SoFi Stadium, California, the singer announced the re-recording of her album 1989 (TAYLOR’S VERSION), due out October 27th.
Swift’s “Eras” tour continues in Argentina and Brazil in November before traveling to Australia and Europe in 2024.
Most recently, the singer gave a sneak peek of the reimagined song “Look What You Made Me Do (Taylor’s Version)” in the trailer for the Amazon Prime Video series Wilderness. However, the new version of the album REPUTATION, from which the song is taken, has not yet been officially announced.
