Prince Harry hits the ‘gym’ (but not because of Harry Kane)

The so-called Invictus Games will start in Düsseldorf on September 9th. These are competitions for soldiers who are physically and mentally wounded, injured and ill. The patron of the World Games is Prince Harry – and the Duke of Sussex will be a guest on ZDF on Saturday from 11 p.m. in the “aktuelle sportstudio” and tell everything about the competition.

At the side of the son of King Charles III. Defense Minister Boris Pistorius (SPD) will take a seat to discuss with the moderator team Katrin Müller-Hohenstein and Sven Voss. There will also be a deeper insight into the life of a soldier, the risks of this profession, but also the importance of sport for many people doing military service.

Invictus Games for the first time in Germany

Prince Harry launched the first Invictus Games in London in 2014 after serving as an officer in Afghanistan. In subsequent years, the games were also held in Orlando, Toronto, Sydney and The Hague. Now the Invictus Games will be shown live in Germany for the first time from September 9th to 16th.

As ZDF announced, two Afghan veterans and participants in the Invictus Games will also be guests in the “sportstudio”, the American Angelo Anderson and the German Jens Niemeyer. They talk about their everyday life as a soldier and the physical and psychological injuries they suffered on deployment.

Any bet: Even if the topic is more important and different, at least one question will go to the prince as to how he assesses the current engagement of the English national team captain at Bayern Munich.
