After Schmidt criticism: Vlachodimos before farewell

The long-time goalkeeper Odisseas Vlachodimos is apparently about to say goodbye to Benfica Lisbon. As reported by the Portuguese media, Nottingham Forest is said to have made an official offer for the Greek national keeper to the Portuguese football champions.

This should be around nine million euros, but Benfica should demand at least ten million euros.

The 29-year-old was publicly criticized by coach Roger Schmidt after a poor performance at the start of the league at Boavista Porto (2: 3). The ex-Bayer Leverkusen coach did not even call the goalkeeper into the squad for the next two league games.

Vlachodimos, who was born in Stuttgart, had gone through numerous German youth national teams. In 2018 he finally decided to play for Greece.
