The Killers tease big news with an ambiguous video.
The Killers have fueled the rumor mill with a mysterious post on X (formerly Twitter). Fans of the Las Vegas rock band are now speculating what the mysterious post could mean and are hoping for new music from the group.
The band posted a six-second black-and-white video on social media Monday night (August 21) showing a dancer in carnival-style attire in the desert. It’s accompanied by a dramatic piece of percussive music, but no caption or other details about it were shared.
Killers fans quickly began to wonder what the cryptic video could mean. Ideas range from an announcement of the Super Bowl halftime show to a new single.

If it’s a hint of a new song, it would be The Killers’ first new material since their 2022 single “Boy”.
Speaking to NME about the new song at Madrid’s Mad Cool 2022 festival, singer Brandon Flowers said it was “the song that brought me home” and “kind of kickstarted the writing.” [des 2021er Albums] PRESSURE MACHINE”. He continued, “What’s interesting is that he just didn’t make it onto the record – but his absence doesn’t reflect the quality of the song. It was an aesthetic decision not to put him on the record.”
When asked if they were writing new material, Flowers replied at the time that they would be “bouncing back and forth” ideas and speaking to their producers. As for a new record, he said: “The full album will probably be out early next year, but there will definitely be more releases this year”.
