The top two in the Tour standings checked before the start of stage 17
After the monstrous performance in yesterday’s time trial, the first two riders in the general classification of the Tour, Jonas Vingegaard and Tadej Pogacar, received this morning (together with Jumbo’s teammates Visma and Uae Emirates) a visit from the anti-doping inspectors for blood tests before the departure of the 17th stage of the Tour de France between Saint-Gervais Mont Blanc and Courchevel.

The Dutch site WielerFlits gave the news, according to which the haematological tests were carried out on the team bus. “I am more than happy about it – commented the director of Jumbo Visma, Richard Plugge”. No values out of the norm were detected and all the riders then took off. Plugge said yellow jersey Jonas Vingegaard had four blood tests in the past 48 hours.
