The private plane, carrying the crescent-star convoy and departing from Istanbul, landed at the international airport in Riga, the capital of Latvia. The nationals went to the hotel where they would stay by bus.
Turkey’s Ambassador to Riga Şule Öztunç welcomed the national team convoy, which also included the President of the Turkish Football Federation (TFF) Mehmet Büyükekşi and the members of the board of directors.
A small number of fans who met the National Team in Riga also took autographs from the players and had their photos taken.
Nationals will perform their last training before the Latvia match at 19.00 at Skonto Stadium, where the match will be played tomorrow. Coach Stefan Kuntz and a football player from the candidate squad will answer the questions of the press before the training.
Latvia-Turkey match will start on Friday, June 16th at 21:45 CEST.
