It is still a mystery who daubed the windows of cafe De Vriendenkring in Steyl.
That’s what the owner says.
‘Business is not for sale’
He received a text from a local resident around 7 p.m. on Sunday evening. There was ‘for sale’ written on the windows of the catering business. “We immediately went to the store. Because the longer you leave something like this in place, the more difficult it becomes. And it just doesn’t look like it. In addition, the case is not for sale at all. With a lot of pain and effort we have got it off.”
‘Nothing preceded’
Then why is the text written on the windows? “I have no idea. As far as I know, nothing has preceded it. Whether people are against our case? That is not the case. I am 99.9 percent sure of that. People are excited that there is life in it again the tent is coming.”
Car
The manager considers it most likely that it was a vandal area. “In the evening we sat in the car for a while to see if the perpetrators would return. But we have not seen anyone.”
Cameras
There were no cameras on the spot where the windows were defaced. The owner has therefore not filed a declaration. “I don’t get anywhere with that.”
