Spring/Summer 2024 Buyers Guide

This month marks the start of the spring/summer 2024 menswear ordering season. Italy’s Pitti Immagine Uomo fair will be held from June 13th to 16th, followed by Milan Men’s Fashion Week from June 17th to 21st and Paris Men’s Fashion Week from June 20th to 16th .until June 25th. The French capital is also home to what is arguably the most anticipated show of the season, as it is here that Pharrell Williams makes his Louis Vuitton debut. From modern tailoring and preppy style to double denim and strong outerwear – first of all, the most important trends that buyers should keep an eye on.

Relaxation in a suit

Men’s fashion has slowly evolved from the slim fit long advocated by Hedi Slimane to a more relaxed silhouette. Suit jackets have become looser and pants wider. Here are four examples that will continue to prevail in the coming season.

Giorgio Armani

Giorgio Armani shows off a relaxed gray and blue double breasted suit. The jacket with a shawl collar and extra-long trousers are worn with the shirt with a geometric print.

Rhude

Designer Rhuigi Villaseñor sent a cream-colored suit with a narrow black pinstripe down the catwalk. The relaxed double-breasted blazer and straight-leg trousers are complemented by a matching waistcoat.

college looks

It may be borrowed from the British, but there’s nothing more American than the “preppy” style. Formerly popularized by Ralph Lauren and Tommy Hilfiger, the look is now being embraced by designers around the world.

kenzo

At Kenzo, designer Nigo presents a striped seersucker suit with a blazer and Bermuda shorts in a variety of colors including blue, yellow, green and red. He pairs socks and white loafers with it.

In addition, the Kenzo designer sent a sweater vest with a round neckline with a blue and green Fair Isle pattern and cream-colored baggy pants down the catwalk. A green baker boy hat, a yellow scarf and red thong sandals were combined as accessories.

MGSM

A layered look of an oversized rugby shirt with a wide pink and black stripe over a blue striped shirt and shorts is available at MGSM. As an accessory, Massimo Giorgetti paired sneakers.

Dior men

For Dior, Kim Jones created a purple V-neck sweater with an argyle pattern of red, brown and burgundy diamonds, paired with a striped shirt and baggy pants. As accessories, he chose a shoulder bag and sneakers with the Dior logo.

Twins Dean and Dan Caten presented a knitted polo shirt with colorful pink, red and blue stripes and flared jeans with patches in the shape of stars for Dsquared. Accessories included a brown belt with a gold buckle, a gold pendant necklace and tan boots.

outerwear

The spring/summer season in stores runs from January to May, which calls for a range of coats and jackets. These include trench coats, raincoats and light coats.

Anthony Alvarez designed a long raincoat in tan technical fabric with matching pants for Bluemarble. An animal print scarf and blue moccasins were worn as accessories.

Martin Rose

Zegna

A yellow nylon raincoat has been paired with a see-through version at Zegna. A yellow herringbone sweater was paired with straight white sweatpants and sneakers.

Jeans

Skinny jeans are a thing of the past, being replaced by styles ranging from straight through flared to baggy jeans. Double denim, on the other hand, is still a popular trend.

Heavily embellished and ripped jeans with cargo pockets were paired at Dsquared with a classic jacket over a gray zip hoodie and second denim jacket with crystal fringes. Accessories include silver jewelry, a baseball cap and logo sneakers.

JW Anderson

JW Anderson revisits a pair of classic low-rise jeans in blue denim with a crinkle effect finish. He paired it with a black and red asymmetric windbreaker jacket and early 90’s logo underwear and black, blue and white sneakers.

prada

For those looking for a slimmer denim silhouette, Prada offered an appealing alternative last spring season, presenting classic jeans and a jacket in a soft blue wash.

In pink

While Barbiecore’s hot pink is still trending, look out for a dusty pink. Once dubbed “millennial pink,” it’s now resurfaced.
