The names of the Oscar gala host trio were announced on Good Morning America on Tuesday morning.

History will be made at the Oscar gala this year. The most watched event in Hollywood will see female presenters in as many as three songs. Never before have three female presenters been seen at the gala.
The trio’s names were announced on Good Morning America on Tuesday morning: comedian Amy Schumer, actress Wanda Sykes and actress Regina Hall. This is the 94th Oscar Gala.
Schumer briefly commented on the news on the program remotely.
– I’m not sure who thought this was a good idea, but I co-hosted the Oscars with Wanda Sykes and Regina Hall. I better go watch movies, Schumer joked.
The trio has a spectacular merit list in the entertainment industry. Shumer has previously served as director of the MTV Movie Awards. Hall has led the BET Awards, which rewards music, exhibition, sports and entertainment for African Americans and other minorities. Sykes, for her part, hosts her own talk show and hosts the annual GLAAD Media Awards.
The three presenters at the gala were last seen in 1987, when it was hosted Chevy ChaseGoldie Hawn and Paul Hogan.
For the past three years, the gala has taken place without presenters since the 2019 scandal. In 2019, the presenter was originally named Kevin Hart, but the plans went new when it was revealed that Hart had posted updates on Twitter that were interpreted as homophobic. After the scandal, no new presenter was appointed for the gala, but it was decided to carry out the presenter with the cooperation of several performers. Since then, the same formula has been followed in the following years.
The Ocar Gala will be held on March 27th.
