The statement from Fenerbahçe Club is as follows:
Dear Community, As of the 5th season, when I served as the President under the roof of our club, our Football Team unfortunately could not reach the championship, which is the only success criterion for Fenerbahçe.
Due to this reason and the negative situation of our community, I would like to share some of my views.
First of all, we understand and deeply feel the experiences of each of our supporters and members, who put Fenerbahçe at the center of their lives, who are happy with their success, and who are devastated by their sadness.
As a reflection of all these feelings, we also accept the requests of the Extraordinary General Assembly from a part of our community with understanding and respect.
I have previously stated that we are ready to go to the Extraordinary General Assembly in case there are candidates for the Distinguished Chairman and Board of Directors who will aspire to manage our Fenerbahçe.
While emphasizing that I stand behind this stance, it is also known to the public that no official candidate has emerged since the day I made the call.
Dear Fenerbahce fans,
As of today, Fenerbahçe has been away from the championship for 9 seasons, the negativities experienced in a row have affected everything and our community is unfortunately separated from each other.
Within the framework of all these facts, it is an undeniable fact that there is not yet a presidential candidate while the team planning process of the new season is started, and that the Extraordinary Election General Assembly – considering the date when it can be held in accordance with our by-laws – carries the risk of alienating Fenerbahçe from its goals for another season.
In the event of an Extraordinary General Assembly, the fact that the term of office of the new board of directors is limited to 1 year is a serious obstacle to a stable operation.
Despite these risks, I would like to share once again that we are ready to go to the Extraordinary General Assembly today, in case of a candidate for the presidency.
If this way is not preferred, in order to prepare our congress members, who will be candidates in our Ordinary Election General Assembly to be held in June 2024, for the duty they will take over from the date of their candidacy, in the best and healthy way;
All kinds of opportunities, information and details of our club will be open to Distinguished Presidential Candidates within the legal framework. If they need, they will be able to get answers to their questions from us.
Finally;
Football Team planning for the 2023-24 season has begun, deficiencies have been identified, budgetary plans have been made within the framework of Fenerbahçe’s goals, and transfer negotiations are being carried out.
In the short term, our Football Team has the goal of the Turkish Cup in front of it.
My request from you is that we get together around Fenerbahçe in order to lift the Turkish Cup on 11 June and start the season by winning the Super Cup after this result.
Fenerbahce’s main need is to feel the power of its fans behind it.
