Yago Darnell Bruguerathe former candidate of the PP in Sant Joan Despí who knocked down a camera in the invasion of the field at the RCDE Stadium last Sunday, has resigned from the position of coach he held at the training school of the Junior FC.
The club of Sant Cugat del Valles has published in a official statement that on Monday afternoon both parties met and the young man submitted his voluntary resignation. Through the statement, Junior FC has reinforced its position against any type of violence and has stressed the importance of the ethical principles that must govern sport.
The club has appreciated the coach’s gesture so as not to tarnish the team’s image and has accepted his resignation, as well as his apologies and regrets.
After the images of the moments after the match between the Spanish and the FC Barcelona in which the young technician was identified, the PP of Sant Joan Despí yesterday expelled Yago Darnell from its ranks. The Espanyol fan was in ninth position on the Popular Party list for the candidacy for the Sant Joan Despí municipal elections.

“As a result of the incidents that occurred at the end of the match between RCD Espanyol and FC Barcelona in which a member of the Junior FC football school coaching staff was identified, the Club wishes to express its total condemnation of the events that occurredas well as any type of violence in sport.
Junior FC, in its more than 105 years of history, is proud to defend the Ethical principles that have to govern the sport, placing emphasis on instill them in our youth. The aforementioned facts are contrary to how we understand sport.
