Today, May 10, no less than 27,722 of the almost 9.5 million Belgians celebrate their birthday. No other day celebrates so many people’s birthdays in Belgium. There are also a lot of birthdays in our country for the rest of the month of May, because the top 10 is supplemented with 3, 5, 6, 11 and 14 May, and 28 April. Most candles are blown out between mid-April and early May. That writes ‘De Standaard’ based on figures from the Belgian statistics office Statbel.
