Max Verstappen drove to victory in the Miami GP. This time, however, there is something wonderful in the opening sentence of the race report.

The top name in the World Series, who started from the ninth starting grid, did not let the failure of qualifying sessions hinder his race performance. Verstappen grabbed positions one and once even two at a time. He rose to the top when the pole man and team mate who led the race Sergio Perez visited the depot.

Verstappen, who started on hard tires, continued on the track for a long time, taking care of his tires. When it finally came time to pit with the tenth lap before the finish, Verstappen beat the medium compound below.

Everyone else drove with the opposite tactic. Verstappen, who kept an excellent pace, got right back to his team mate from the pit. The inevitable pass happened just moments later. After that, Verstappen pushed for even more confidence in the scenery and his third victory of the season.

Red Bulls, who dominate the series, once again took to the podium Fernando Alonso. Aston Martin’s Spanish champion drove a strong race. He even had time to look at and comment on his teammate By Lance Stroll driving performance.

Valtteri Bottas did not fall into his heinous sin this time. The Finn got off to an excellent start, but after that the Alfa Romeo’s limited performance became very clear. Bottas, who started eighth, finished in 13th place.

Mercedes and Ferrari scored their cars. It remained the only consolation for the mammoth stables in Miami. Red Bull is currently wiping the floor with its former opponents to its heart’s content. Alonso also makes fun of the bigger ones.

George Russell placed fourth. Carlos Sainz was fifth, but the Ferrari driver’s time penalty took even thin seams to the podium battle. Charles Leclerc ruined his own chances by running out of qualifying. However, F1 fans have him to thank for Verstappen’s poor starting grid and thus a colorful race.

Lewis Hamilton drove hard on Sunday. After the 13th place in qualifying, the sixth place in the GP was some kind of victory. It still hardly warms up the seven-time world champion much.

The F1 season continues in two weeks at Imola.
