Record champions Boston Celtics made an important step towards the semifinals in the playoffs of the North American basketball professional league NBA, the Phoenix Suns reported back against the Denver Nuggets.
The Celtics won the third game of the best-of-seven series on Friday (05/05/2023) at the Philadelphia 76ers around MVP Joel Embiid with 114:102. They now lead 2-1 in the series.
Boston’s top player Jayson Tatum scored 27 points and ten rebounds, Jaylen Brown contributed 23 points as the second best pitcher. Embiid, recently named most valuable player of the regular season for the first time, didn’t have 30 points for the 76ers.
Suns shorten against the Nuggets
The Phoenix Suns, meanwhile, sent a sign of life against the Denver Nuggets thanks to their star duo. In Phoenix, the hosts struck back after their two opening defeats and reduced the series to 1-2 with the Nuggets.
