Explosion in drug lab: dismantling will take all day

The drug lab at the Hoppenkuil in Eindhoven, where there was an explosion on Monday, will be dismantled on Tuesday. According to the police, this will probably take all day. It is not yet clear what kind of drugs were made in the company warehouse.

The drug lab was guarded by the police last night. The investigation will resume on Tuesday. The National Dismantling Facility (LFO), which specializes in clearing drug labs, is involved in this. The lab will be dismantled around eleven.

Brown smoke
The fire brigade was called to a fire in the company shed on the Hoppenkuil on Monday afternoon. It was a building that houses many different companies.

Something had exploded in the lab, presumably during the making of drugs. Brown smoke billowed from the lab and the surrounding area had a strange odor. In the lab, a number of walls had collapsed.

Loud bang
Employees of a business building next to the lab heard a loud bang on Monday. “It was an explosion that hit our wall. We then called the police,” an employee said on Monday.
