The European Broadcasting Union EBU has received criticism for its decision to limit the participation of the press in rehearsals. Eight delegations state that the restriction puts some of the participating countries at a disadvantage.

The Eurovision media center is open to the media during the live performances. The change from previous years is that the press will not be able to follow the exercises this time. The press center opens the day before the first semi-final, May 8.

The letter addressed to the EBU expresses concern that the countries participating in the first semi-final of Eurovision have only one day to make use of the media before their performance. The letter argues that the performers of the second semi-final will have more time with the media.

Finland will perform in the first semi-final of the Eurovision Song Contest on May 9, when Käärijä will be the last to take the stage. You can see all participating countries in the first semi-final here.
