Ronaldo club separates from coach Garcia

Soccer superstar Cristiano Ronaldo is getting a new coach at his club Al-Nassr in Saudi Arabia.

As the club announced on Thursday, coach Rudi Garcia is leaving the second-placed team in the Saudi Pro League by mutual agreement with immediate effect. Frenchman Garcia worked for Al-Nassr for eight months.

The ambitious club had recently stumbled sportily, according to media reports, Garcia is said to have had an argument with players in the dressing room. Ronaldo, who was hired by Al-Nassr until 2025 and is said to have received a salary of around 500 million euros during this period, is said not to have been a supporter of the coach. There are still seven match days to go in the league.
