US shoe retailer Crocs Inc. is taking its collaboration with Salehe Bembury to a new level. On Wednesday evening, the company announced a two-year partnership with the renowned shoe designer. As part of the agreement, Bembury has been named creative director of the Crocs x Pollex Pod collection.
Crocs and Bembury have been working together since 2021. The result of the collaboration was the Pollex Clog shoe model, which, according to the company, was extremely successful with customers and was launched in new versions last year. In his future role, Bembury will now work with the Crocs team to further develop the Pollex line and add additional silhouettes and color patterns to the collection, the statement said. The first new models should therefore be presented in the course of spring.
In recent years, Bembury has designed shoes for Versace and Yeezy, among others. He has also worked in collaborations with well-known brands such as New Balance, Anta and Clarks.
