Ostend through the eyes of Marcel Rouffa

Comic artist Marcel Rouffa has been living and working in Ostend for years. He is known for his drawings in Tintin and Spirou. Rouffa also worked for De Standaard and was already active abroad. Now the Artwa Pop up gallery Oostoever is putting another Marcel Rouffa in the spotlight.

Rouffa looks at the typical locations, views and panoramas of the coastal city as they are today and how they will evaluate. The result are surprisingly fresh works that radiate tension and tranquility.

‘Oostende signed’ is freely accessible and can be viewed until 27 February in the Artwa Pop up Gallery Oosterover. Always open from Thursday to Sunday between 2 pm and 6 pm.
