Man entrenched in his ex’s apartment after a wild chase

The man who was arrested in Den Bosch after a wild chase on Thursday evening had holed up in his ex’s apartment. That says a resident of the apartment building on Kempenlandstraat. According to the resident, the man visited his ex more often.

According to the witness, the man must have had a key to open the door to the storage room and garage, a so-called drop. He recognized the man immediately and also said that he had seen the man wearing an ankle bracelet the previous times.

Taken away handcuffed
Other residents confirm that the man was in the building more often and lived there occasionally. They also saw that the man was wearing an ankle bracelet.

It is not known where the man was eventually arrested in the building. Images show how the man is handcuffed outside through the door to the storage room.

License plate spotted
Agents had been after him from Limburg. His Range Rover’s license plate was spotted by cameras as he crossed the border. The man was already wanted and his license plate was spotted.

A long chase on the A2 and through villages such as Sint-Michielsgestel and Den Dungen ended in Kempenlandstraat. There, the police were able to overrun the Range Rover in which the man was driving.

The man ran into the building and the massive police presence surrounded the building. A short time later he was overpowered by an arrest team and taken to the police station.

Police euphoric
The police are happy with the arrest. Chief officer Eric writes on Facebook: “We are happy, a little euphoric. Finally, the 22-year-old man who is no stranger to every police officer in Den Bosch and who has been wanted by us for months, has finally been arrested after a wild chase. In the coming years, his stay will be in a judicial institution. Gotcha, I tell Tessa. How we would have loved to be at this chase.”
