Film Zeevonk wins prizes
Zeevonk is Domien Huyghe’s feature debut. For his film he worked together with his sister and screenwriter Wendy Huyghe. The story is inspired by the death of their own father more than twenty years ago. The film was shot in Ostend, among other places.
Zeevonk had its world premiere in February as the opening film of the Berlinale’s Generation Kplus programme. This is a competition for films about the world of children and young people. In addition, the film received a Special Mention from the Children’s Jury and the ECFA Award has now been added.
Zeevonk plays in our cinemas from March 29.
