In Spain there was a lot of praise anyway. “Erling Haaland is from another planet,” wrote ASH.
City to quarter-finals
Thanks in part to the impressive performance of Haaland, Manchester City reached the quarter-finals of the Champions League without any problems. Pep Guardiola’s team recorded a 7-0 victory and won 8-1 over two matches. In addition to Haaland, Ilkay Gündogan and Kevin De Bruyne were accurate. Inter also reached the last eight of the billion dollar ball.
