Coach Ward Terpstra of Kia Ora will hold an information meeting on Monday, March 20 for a Rock & Water Resilience Training for children from the municipality of De Wolden.
The meetings take place from 3:00 pm to 4:00 pm (ages 8 to 10) and from 4:00 pm to 5:00 pm (ages 11 and 12) in the playroom of IKC Het Groene Hart in Zuidwolde.
In short, the training is a combination of resilience, standing up for yourself and social skills and reflecting on one’s own behaviour. Under the guidance of a certified trainer, you will work on different topics for ten weeks. “In my own training programs I combine sports and games to make children feel comfortable. Without focusing too much on a problem, I let children work on those problems together through sports and games in a group. This approach creates a safe environment in which children can and want to help each other,” says Ward Terpstra.
We start with an information meeting to see if the training is suitable for the child. After this introduction, the child and parents can decide whether they want to participate in the ten-week program, the will of the child is leading.
The information meeting is free. Information and registration: www.kia-ora.nl [email protected] or call 06-372 83 518.
