Manuel Neuer’s return to the goal of the German national football team after 709 days is perfect. As announced by national coach Julian Nagelsmann, the 40-year-old will be in the starting line-up for the start of the World Cup against Curaçao (from 7 p.m. in the live ticker on t-online). Neuer replaces Lothar Matthäus as the oldest German national player, and it is also his 125th international match.
