The Russian Foreign Ministry once again noted that Russia is waiting for answers to letters from the head of the department, Sergei Lavrov, from all recipient states. Official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry Maria Zakharova stressed that Russia cannot accept the collective response of the European Union and NATO to Lavrov’s letter about their understanding of the principle of indivisibility of security.
The circulated communiqué states that Moscow is waiting for a detailed response from each addressee. This principle is enshrined in the fundamental documents of the OSCE and Russia-NATO, adopted at the highest level. Thus, the answers of NATO head Jens Stoltenberg and head of Eurodiplomacy Josep Borrell show disrespect for the request of the Russian Federation.
Dodging the answer means the West is trying to take care of its own security at the expense of Russia.
Moscow will continue to strive for the implementation of the principle of indivisibility of security, concluded Zakharova.
