Higher Administrative Court confirms the ban on corona “walks”

Unannounced “walks” by opponents of vaccination may be prohibited in Brandenburg as a preventive measure. According to BZ information, this was decided by the Berlin-Brandenburg Higher Administrative Court. The judges followed a complaint from the Brandenburg Ministry of the Interior.

Last Friday, the Cottbus administrative court declared the preventive ban on unannounced gatherings to be illegal. Reason: A risk of infection from the “walks” has not been sufficiently proven by the assembly authority.

The chief judges did not follow this reasoning and have now reversed the Cottbus decision.

Brandenburg police spokesman Torsten Herbst (46) on the BZ: “We expressly welcome the decision of the OVG. We didn’t want to ban gatherings. The prohibition order is only aimed at unannounced and unconfirmed events. Because we found that the so-called Cottbus “walks” repeatedly and systematically violated the corona protection requirements.”

At 12 p.m. the court wants to publicly justify its decision.
