But now Hamilton has given insights into how the film is doing, on which he is well-known supported by “Top Gun: Maverick” director Joseph Kosinski and Hollywood producer Jerry Bruckheimer.
“We are in the process of selecting the character to play alongside Brad Pitt,” Hamilton said in a media session. The whole thing is “very exciting”.
“We are currently taking a closer look at the casting appearances,” said the 38-year-old, who will start the coming season with Mercedes in the test drives in Bahrain in the coming days.
“The last time I was in the office with Jerry, Joe and Brad was watching the auditions and how the candidates acted out different scenes,” Hamilton revealed.

“In terms of diversity and presentation, the film should be a role model for what Formula 1 should look like in the future,” emphasized the Silver Arrow driver, who will be back in the black-painted W14 in 2023.
“I would like to see female mechanics. We would like to see a female driver. We haven’t gotten that far yet. But why not?” asked the Briton.
So far, he and his film team have mainly worked on the script and have repeatedly thrown it over and improved it, Hamilton explained. He is currently waiting for further changes to the script.
“It’s exciting, I’m looking forward to the script being finished. I recently spoke to Brad about the different characters that should appear,” said the seven-time Formula 1 champion.
