Luuk Ikink doesn’t understand Gillis-hugging Talpa: ‘Don’t even score!’

Luuk Ikink does not understand at all that Talpa continues to cling so stubbornly to the controversial Peter Gillis. “I always thought it was a huge success, but it doesn’t even score!”

The number of cases with which Peter Gillis has been discredited is impossible to keep track of. According to critics, it says everything about Talpa boss John de Mol’s moral compass that he simply continues to give this reality star a stage. Even now that his relationship with Nicol Kremers is over, John just wants more and more Peter Gillis.

Dagobert Duck

Luuk Ikink, presenter of RTL Boulevard, does not understand that SBS 6 is continuing with this. “I then think: that is the end of Massa is Kassa. I didn’t like the whole program at all, but if you like it, then it was at least about the interplay between Nicol and Gillis,” he says in The BLVD Podcast.

Colleague Rob Goossens: “I agree with you: now that the relationship is over, that’s a nice excuse to say: ‘It was fun while it lasted’, but apparently the Dagobert Ducks at SBS 6 still have dollar signs in the eyes and keep milking it until there’s nothing left in it.”

“Doesn’t score!”

Well, it doesn’t score that well at all, says Luuk. “It no longer scores. I always thought this was a huge success in terms of viewing figures, but if you look at the past week, 500, not even 600 thousand people watch it. Well, that’s not a super success, is it? That’s just okay.”

Rob admits: “It’s fine for SBS 6 standards, but not that you think: oh my god, what will you do with the channel when this program ends?”

Television cork

According to Luuk, Massa is Kassa is not a television cork. “No, it’s not the cork it floats on. It’s kind of strange that they still stick to it. It’s rude, it’s negative.”

Rob: “It is actually not really of this time, such a man who just does not treat people very gallantly.”

Luuk: “He is barking and commanding. That’s what he does.”
