The KNMI has issued code yellow for locally dense fog. This applies to several provinces in the Netherlands, including North Holland.
The KNMI warns travelers who will hit the road tonight and tomorrow morning. Due to the dense fog, visibility can be less than 200 meters in some places. The fog is expected to disappear around 9 a.m.
There has been more dense fog in recent days. Code yellow also applied in the northern provinces two days ago.

Hints on the road
Due to the lack of visibility, you cannot immediately see what is happening in front of you on the road. It is therefore wise to keep a distance from your predecessor and to reduce your speed. If your view is seriously impaired during the day, turn on your low beam.
Your fog lamp should only be on when there is very dense fog. When visibility is less than 50 meters, the rear fog light may only be switched on. At the front you can turn on the fog lights when visibility is less than 200 meters.
