The fire affected a multi-storey building and among the victims there are ten women and three minors

At least 14 people have dead and 11 more have been injured in a fire in a multi-storey building in the Indian city of Dhanbad, in the northeastern state of Jharkhand. This has been confirmed by the Dhanbad Police, which has detailed that among the people who have lost their lives there are ten women and three minors, as reported by the PTI agency.

The injured people have been sent to a nearby medical center and the health authorities have detailed that the rescue of the victims has already been completedalthough the count of them has not finished.

At around 6:00 p.m. (local time) a fire has started on the second floor of the Ashirwad Tower in Dhanbad, which it has spread over 13 of the building’s floors. Up to there, 40 fire trucks have moved, which have started to extinguish the flames.

So far it has not been revealed how the fire started, although the Indian authorities have launched an investigation to determine the facts.
