XX won the under-20 hockey World Cup bronze

The U.S. won bronze at the Under-20 World Championship, defeating Sweden 8-7.

USA’s Logan Cooley celebrates the goal. PDO

The “Battle of broken hearts”, i.e. the bronze game between two disappointed teams, started at the pace of the USA. The big star of the team Logan Cooley shot the Yankees to a 1–0 lead with barely three minutes left in the first period.

It was Cooley’s seventh goal and 13th power point in the World Cup tournament.

Sweden had a sticky start, as Fabian Lysell crashed out at less than eight minutes Kenny Connors to the dome, received a 5+20 minute penalty and took a shower.

Lysell’s poor tournament got an embarrassing decision. The first round pick of the Boston Bruins scored an even 0+0 power points in the tournament.

Firing of the second round

The second set started with a 1-0 score. One minute and 51 seconds later, the United States led 2–0 on a defender Ryan Ufkon on the finish line.

However, Sweden wanted to participate in the bronze medal fight, and Filip Bystedt tapped in with a precise wrist shot to make it 2–1.

The next goal was scored by the Manitoba Moose AHL player and by Brad Lambert roommate Chaz Lucius3–1.

The firing of the second batch continued by Oskar Pettersson with a great wrist shot to the top.

And the rillumarei mood continued when Sweden came to a 3-3 draw Leo Carlsson on the finish line.

The sixth goal of the set was scored by Cutter Gauthier off the bat in 10:42. And Lucius put the USA in the lead 5–3 moments later.

“every change”

It’s Oskar Pettersson’s turn to score. It didn’t help, the USA took the bronze and Sweden was fourth.

– Jaahas, which seems to be a goal in the substitution, stated the commentators of the TSN channel at this point Gord Miller and Mike Johnson.

Sweden struck twice more, thus a whopping nine goals were scored in the second round of the World Cup bronze medal game.

Defending was a word the teams didn’t know in the second half. Maybe it suits the nature of the bronze game.

Solution to be continued

In the final set, the audience saw four more goals and the actual playing time ended with special numbers 7–7.

Chaz Lucius scored the winning goal and bronze for the USA in overtime. It was the man’s third goal of the night. So the final result is 8–7.

Sweden finished fourth in the tournament.

Sweden and the USA have now met 37 times in the Under-20 World Cup. The wins are 18–17 for the USA, there are a couple of draws

The USA team has no fewer than six players whose fathers are Canadian.
