In 2019, before the outbreak of the corona pandemic, 550,003 new passenger cars were registered in our country. In 2020, there were 431,491 new passenger cars. In 2021, that number dropped further to 383,123 new passenger cars.
The year 2022 ended with a fifth consecutive monthly increase in new passenger car registrations. In December, 25,584 new passenger cars were registered, representing an increase of 20.65 percent compared to December 2021. However, the past five months could not make up for the losses of the previous seven months due to production shortfalls.
