The six-time ski jumping world champion Markus Eisenbichler will contest the 71st Four Hills Tournament to the end despite his poor form.

“It is very clear that Markus will continue to Bischofshofen and then in the World Cup,” said national coach Stefan Horngacher on Monday morning in Garmisch-Partenkirchen: “There is a clear goal, that is the World Championships in Planica.”

Eisenbichler had missed the second round in the two competitions in Oberstdorf and Garmisch-Partenkirchen. “But he’s not far away, makes a good impression in training,” said Horngacher: “Sometimes things can go fast in ski jumping.”
