Jan Dijkgraaf thinks it is a great shame that SBS 6 continues to give the controversial Peter Gillis such a big stage. “Every viewer who books a holiday with his gribus gang must sue that channel!”
Peter Gillis’ holiday parks have been receiving a deluge of negative reviews from visitors for years. RTL Boulevard already devoted an item to its ‘dirty poop parks’ last year and MAX Vakantieman even carried out a real undercover operation with shocking results. According to Johan Derksen, it is a gross disgrace.
Dilapidated dog houses
People who go to Peter Gillis’ Oostappen holiday parks generally don’t have much to spend. That is precisely why his SBS 6 colleague Johan finds it a disgrace that those parks are in such a bad state.
Johan said in Today Inside last summer: “Do you know what someone should say on TV? That he shouldn’t have to push working-class people who don’t have much money to spend in those dilapidated doghouses on those shitty parks of his.”
Jan Dijkgraaf surprised
Columnist Jan Dijkgraaf finds it amazing that SBS 6 just started again yesterday with a new season of Familie Gillis: Massa is Kassa. “Despite everything, a new series has just been recorded. Despite everything, yes,” he writes in his column Letter from Jan.
And Jan is not just talking about the deplorable state of his holiday parks. “Do you hit ‘our Nicolleke’ on the face or grab her by the throat or kick her in the stomach or try to bite a piece out of her nose and get arrested for it? No problem for SBS 6!”
Mislead viewers
It is clear to Jan that the moral compass of SBS 6 is wrongly adjusted, but: “What SBS 6 should not itch is that its viewers may be disadvantaged by the broadcasting of that series.”
With the images that SBS 6 broadcasts, certain viewers are encouraged to book a holiday with Peter Gillis, he says. “Because SBS 6 broadcasts a different image than reality.”
“Sue SBS 6!”
Jan sums up a whole laundry list of bizarre findings from people who have been to Peter’s parks. This ranges from hygienic abuses to fights and from dirty toilets to getting sick from the swimming pool.
He concludes: “Any viewer weak-minded who, after watching the series Massa is Kassa, decides to book a holiday and be snubbed at that filthy gribus gang of yours should actually sue SBS 6 for deception.”
Christmas with Gillis
SBS 6 does not care about all the criticism. The channel announces Christmas with Peter Gillis today:
